- Comprehensive Assessment: Occupational therapy assessment to clarify functional impact, participation barriers, risk, and support needs in complex presentations, focusing on real-life performance rather than generic checklists.
- Mobility and Access Solutions: Assistive Technology (AT) and Environmental Modifications: Assessment and recommendations for mobility, transfers, seating, positioning, pressure care, and access within the home and community. This includes complex AT (e.g., power wheelchair, rotating bed) and environmental modifications (e.g., bathroom, kitchen, ramps).
We focus on solutions that can realistically be implemented and sustained in the participant’s environment.
- Therapy and Skill Building: Interventions informed by occupational therapy frames of reference, tailored to the participant’s physical, cognitive, sensory, and psychosocial presentation. This may include work on motor and process skills, routines and roles, cognition, sensory processing, and engagement in meaningful occupations.
- Care Coordination & Reporting: Consultation with support coordinators, families, providers, and other professionals to support risk management, coordinated care, and targeted clinical reporting where detailed occupational therapy reasoning is required for complex decisions.
